The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) re-imposed Tuesday evening a 21-year previous sentence of Amer Muqbil, who was released in Wafa al-Ahrar deal, according to Al-Ahrar Center for Prisoner Studies and Human Rights.
The family of the 32-year-old detainee said that he had served eight years and a half in the Israeli jails before he was released in Wafa al-Ahrar deal in 2011.
The prisoner, who is held in Negev prison, is married and has a one year and a half baby boy (Omar).
Head of Ahrar Center Fuad al-Khuffash said that the Israeli occupation has re-imposed 35 previous sentences of prisoners who were released in Wafa al-Ahrar deal and were arbitrarily re-jailed. This came after three settlers were kidnapped and killed in al-Khalil in mid-2014.
Al-Khuffash demanded that quick action should be taken in this regard and at the highest levels so as to release the 80 prisoners who were unjustly detained since then.
In a related context, human rights sources told the PIC that four prisoners entered on Tuesday their thirtieth year in the Israeli jails.
The four prisoners were “convicted” of kidnapping and killing the Israeli soldier Mushi Tamam in 1985, in addition to receiving military exercises in the bases of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Syria. They were sentenced to life imprisonment and they have served 29 years so far.
The four prisoners were supposed to be released in a deal between the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Israeli occupation; however, the Israeli occupation retracted its promises at the last minute.
The four prisoners are leaders in the Palestinian Captive Movement and on top of the old prisoners' list
Ibrahim, one of the prisoners, lost both his parents while he was behind bars and he only has one sister and the Israeli occupation frequently deprives her of visiting her brother.
Two of the four prisoners obtained Master's degrees in Political Science from the Open Hebrew University while in the Israeli jails.
The Palestinian prisoners are suffering from harsh detention conditions, as the Israeli occupation considers them citizens holding its nationality and refuses to release them in exchange deals. But at the same time the Palestinian prisoners don't have the same privileges offered to the Israeli prisoners.
Karim Yunis, 54, who has been detained since January 6, 1983, is the oldest serving prisoner.

The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) re-imposed Sunday evening the previous sentence of the sick prisoner Ibrahim al-Masri, 45, from Ramallah in the West Bank.
Head of Ahrar center Fuad al-Khuffash affirmed that al-Masri’s previous sentence was re-imposed, noting that he was sentenced to two life terms plus 20 years before being released during wafa al-Ahrar swap deal.
Al-Masri, a father of four girls, had spent 17 years out of his sentence before being released in 2001.
He is currently held in Eshel prison, suffering from lung and windpipe diseases, in addition to severe back pains.
35 ex-prisoners’ sentences were re-imposed after being re-arrested in mid-June following the kidnapping of three Israeli settlers in al-Khalil.
Meanwhile, the Israeli prison service transferred the sick prisoner Mustafa Brijiya, 29, from Ramle prison clinic to Negev prison without providing him any medical treatment.
In a leaked letter, Brijiya said that he was transferred on March 15 from his prison room in Negev jail to Ramle prison clinic for medical treatment.
However, he was returned to Negev prison without undergoing medical examination or treatment over his health deterioration.
Brijiya pointed out that his health condition had worsened during his transport from and back to jail without witnessing any medical improvement while in hospital.
He appealed to human rights institutions to intervene immediately and to exert more pressures on the Israeli occupation authorities for the release of sick prisoners.
He also threatened to declare an open hunger strike in protest against the Israeli deliberate medical negligence policy.
Brijiya, from Bethlehem, suffers from different health problems including inflammation of the testicles, severe headache, stomach pains, and diabetes in addition to a congenital leg defect.
He was expected to undergo a medical surgery before his arrest; however, he only receives painkillers in Israeli jail.

Senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahhar affirmed that the leadership of his Movement had received an official invitation to visit Saudi Arabia, without stating its date.
In a political symposium held on Sunday at the Islamic University, Zahhar added that Hamas accepted the invitation, which he said was made by a country of a pivotal role in the Arab and regional arenas.
He also stated that his Movement would never engage in alliances with other countries or be dependent on them.
"We have learned from the mistakes of the PLO with regard to engaging in alliances with some countries and be reliant on them. We have no position but that of defending the Palestinian project, and we accept subordination to no country."
In another context, the Hamas official denied there were contacts between his Movement and a mediating party to negotiate a new prisoner swap deal with the Israeli occupation.
He stressed that there could be no such deal without Israel fulfilling all its commitments under the first swap agreement, "Wafa al-Ahrar deal."
"We do not want to pay the price twice," he said.
As for the relations with Egypt, Zahhar expressed hope that there could be a new page of relationship with the Egyptian regime, especially since there was no real proof about his Movement's interference in Egypt's internal affairs or events.
He also commented on the new leaked documents that confirmed that the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority security apparatuses in the West Bank provided Israel with information against the resistance by saying that the leaks did not give something new.
He added that the Fatah Movement did not want the reconciliation with Hamas in the first place and still has a legitimacy complex that prevents it from recognizing the results of any election unless it is the winner.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at noontime Monday stormed Beit Furik, near the West Bank city of Nablus, and scoured the family home of an ex-prisoner, a few hours after the latter was rounded up from his workplace in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
A PIC correspondent quoted a local activist as reporting that a round of clashes burst out between the IOF soldiers and a group of Palestinian unarmed protesters after a flock of IOF patrols raided Beit Furik and stationed near al-Sahaba Mosque.
The IOF soldiers broke into the house of prisoner Mlitat and locked up all members of his family in one single room, moments before they rummaged through the home and ransacked it.
Prisoner Mlitat, a construction worker, was reportedly released in Wafa al-Aharar prisoner swap deal.
Meanwhile, by-standers at the scene said an Israeli military truck carrying huge blocks arrived at the Beit Furik military checkpoint in an attempt to seal off the area with more cement blocks.
Palestinian vehicles and passengers’ IDs had meticulously been inspected in the process.

Deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Ahmed Bahar slammed Israel's tough restrictions imposed on Palestinian prisoners in violation of all international laws and conventions.
During the PLC session on Wednesday, Bahar held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the serious implications of its criminal attacks on Palestinian prisoners.
He called on Egyptian authorities to intervene immediately for the release of the ex-prisoners who were re-arrested and re-sentenced after their release in Wafa al-Ahrar swap deal reached in 2011 under Egyptian mediation.
He also called on international human rights institutions and the Red Cross to intervene immediately to save the prisoners' lives before it is too late.
Earlier Wednesday, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) confirmed that the Israeli Prison Service stepped up its attacks against Palestinian prisoners held in Raymond prison.
Tough penalties were imposed on Fatah-affiliated prisoners held in Raymond prison as Israeli wardens brutally broke into section 3, the PPS added.

The leadership of Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails said the Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s call to execute Palestinian prisoners who serve life imprisonments is not odd and Israel has been virtually practicing it in its prisons.
Hamas prisoners said, in a statement on Saturday, “Despite the strong condemnation of Lieberman’s call, we are not surprised with the news”.
“The Israeli occupation practices the policy of executing Palestinian prisoners practically by attempting to assassinate the resistance activists in the field, investigation rooms and finally in prison cells through the policy of slow death”, the statement said.
The statement also mentioned various forms of execution which have been already practiced in Israeli jails including solitary confinement for decades and medical neglect.
The Hamas captives sent a message to the world affirming that the Israeli occupation is indeed executing Palestinian detainees, calling for working to oblige the Israeli authority to stop its crimes against prisoners.
In a message to the occupation, the prisoners wrote: “Do not threaten us of what we desire, to die as martyrs for the sake of Allah, and know that the resistance will force you to release all the prisoners sooner or later”.
Detainees of Hamas also called on the Palestinian resistance factions to work on releasing the Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

Yisrael Beytenu leader says if convicted terrorists are not executed 'we're inviting more and more terrorism'; notes fourth round of fighting with Hamas 'inevitable' and that Israel should already think how to prevent fifth.
The first bill to be proposed by Yisrael Beytenu in the 20th Knesset will seek to impose a death sentence for terrorists, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Tuesday morning at the INSS Conference.
Lieberman argued that if convicted terrorists are not executed, "we're inviting more and more terrorism." At the conference in Tel Aviv, the Yisrael Beytenu leader said that "the fight against terrorism is the biggest challenge the world faces in the 21st century. This is also Israel's biggest challenge. But there's a large gap between what Israel is preaching to and what is actually done here."
"Releasing terrorists, including those who committed the most horrendous of attacks such as the lynch in Ramallah, is the worst possible message to send in the war against terror. We have to show terrorists we're changing directions. That there are no more deals," he added. Lieberman repeated comments he previously made to Ynet, saying a third round of fighting in Gaza against Hamas is "inevitable."
"What's important is to already think how to prevent the fifth round of fighting. Every military operation must end with a decisive victory, otherwise we're eroding our capabilities and our deterrence. The fact we're heading to a military conflict against Hamas every two years doesn't allow Israel to make long-term plans, like a normal country, on policy and economic issues."

The Israeli occupation authority reactivated the previous prison sentences issued against two Palestinian prisoners, who had been released as part of the last prisoner swap deal and then rejailed in June 2014.
The detainees are Sheikh Majdi Ajouli, from Qaffin town in Tulkarem, and Zaher Khatatbah, from Beit Fourik town in Nablus.
Ajouli, 53, had spent 22 years in Israeli jails before his release as part of the swap deal with Israel in October 2011.
Ahrar Center for prisoner studies and human rights said that the Israeli security and military apparatuses rejailed dozens of Palestinians who had been exchanged for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit as part of a deal with the resistance in Gaza.
25 of those rearrested Palestinians returned to serve their previous prison terms, the center added.
In another context, the Palestinian prisoners in Eshel jail have complained that the Israeli jailers intensified lately their violent search raids on their rooms.
They told the lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner Society during a recent visit to the prison that the jail soldiers carried out, a few days ago, search raids for about three hours in sections 10 and 11.
They added that the soldiers tampered with their personal belongings and turned everything upside down inside the rooms of these two sections.
The prisoners also complained that the prison administration had increased the number of cellphone jamming devices in the jail, which causes them continual severe headaches.
They pointed out that the transfer of prisoners from Eshel to other jails and vice versa did not stop, asserting that such measure was aimed at undermining any chance for the prisoners to organize protest steps.

Member of Hamas's political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar said there would be no talk about a new prisoner swap deal before the Israeli occupation respected its last swap agreement, which had been sponsored by Arab and international parties.
Zahhar made his remarks in a political symposium on Wednesday held under the theme "The regional changes and their impacts on the Palestinian cause."
"We are not in a hurry and we do not sell the prisoner file at any price. We are still committed to our pledge to liberate our heroic prisoners from the occupation's jails," the Hamas official stated.
He stressed that the Israeli occupation violated what had been agreed upon in the last swap deal, Wafa al-Ahrar, which was brokered by Irish, British and Arab officials, so the Palestinian resistance would not take any step towards a new deal before the occupation fulfilled its commitments under the first one.
Zahhar also slammed the recent Egyptian court ruling on al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, affirming that his Movement does not interfere in any way in the internal affairs of other countries.
"We fight for the liberation of our land and country and save our humanity from the oppression of the Zionist occupation," he said.
He also talked about the Egyptian media lies against the Movement, asserting that the Egyptian intelligence itself knows that Hamas is innocent of all accusations made by the local media.
"Do not get us into vortexes which are not of our business. Our bullets only target the Zionist occupation," Zahhar underlined.

An Israeli central court in Nazareth on Wednesday rejected an appeal on behalf of six Jerusalem-area prisoners who were rearrested after they had been freed in the Gilad Shalit prisoner swap in 2011.
Speaker of the East Jerusalem committee of prisoners' families Amjad Abu Asab told Ma'an that the Israeli forces claimed that Alaa al-Din al-Bazyan, Nasser Abed Rabbo, Jamal Abu Salih, Rajab al-Tahhan, Ismail Hijazi and Adnan Maragha had violated the terms of the deal upon which they were freed.
As a result, they were rearrested and the Israeli intelligence decided that they would complete the original lifetime sentences they were serving before they were freed.
The six, along with more than 50 others freed as part of Shalit deal, were rearrested in June 2014 during an Israeli military operation to locate three teenage boys who disappeared near Gush Etzion south of Bethlehem.
Israeli police earlier notified the prisoners' families that they were being interrogated on charge of membership in a "terror" organization as well as violating the terms of Shalit deal.
However, the families were notified that the case had been closed and that the six won't be tried because enough evidence was not found.
Surprisingly, the six were sent to a central court in Haifa to be tried in front of a special judicial committee composed of Israeli government officials which decided that they were guilty and must serve the original sentences.

The Israeli Salem military court sentenced Sunday the injured detainee Mohamed Nagenagiyah, from Jenin, to eight years imprisonment and imposed a fine on him estimated at eight thousand shekels.
Family sources called on human rights institutions to intervene for the release of their son especially that he suffers from leg injury as he was shot during his arrest in 2013.
Meanwhile, Ahrar Center for Prisoners’ Studies said that the Israeli occupation authorities re-imposed previous sentences on two ex-detainees who were released in Wafa al-Ahrar Swap Deal in 2011.
The ex-detainee Ibrahim Shalash was re-sentenced to life imprisonment, while the ex-detainee Muad al-Jalad was re-sentenced to 11 months imprisonment, which was left of his 18-year sentence.
