Israeli soldiers invaded, on Sunday at dawn, Kobar town, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and handed the family of a slain son, and his detained brother, a military order for the demolition of their home.
Media sources said dozens of soldiers invaded Kobar after surrounding it, and stormed the home of the imprisoned Omar Barghouthi, 66, the father of Saleh Barghouthi, who was assassinated by the army on December 12, 2018, and Assem Barghouthi, who was abducted by the soldiers on December 13th, 2018, along with his father.
It is worth mentioning that Omar Barghouthi received a six-month Administrative Detention order, without charges or trial.
The army claimed Saleh was allegedly “involved” in a shooting targeting colonialist settlers, in December of last year.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded many neighborhoods in Ramallah city, and several surrounding villages and towns.
The soldiers also invaded Tal village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and installed a military roadblock in Bir al-Ghazal area, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
In addition, the soldiers invaded an area, near a gas station in Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia city, in northern West Bank, and confiscated a motorcycle, after detaining its owner.

The Israeli occupation authorities sentenced on Thursday Assef Barghouthi, the brother of slain anti-occupation attacker Saleh, to a three-month administrative detention term, with neither charge nor trial.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) the sentence makes part of the collective punishment policies pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities against the family of Saleh Barghouthi.

Israeli Salem military court sentenced on Wednesday the Palestinian prisoner Yazen Subeh, from Jenin, to six years and a half in prison, rights sources said.
The Palestinian prisoners society affirmed that the court also imposed on him a fine of 540$ for allegedly being involved in anti-occupation activities.
Meanwhile, Ofer military court postponed a hearing scheduled to uphold the administrative detention of Umar Barghouthi, the father of Palestinian slain Saleh Barghouthi.

Israeli military courts extended on Monday the detention of the brothers of the slain anti-occupation attacker Saleh Barghouthi.
Salah’s brother Assef got his remand extended by the Ofer Court for another 48 hours.
A hearing held for Saleh’s brother Mohamed at al-Mascoubiya detention center also culminated in a verdict to extend the latter’s remand for another four days pending intensive investigation.

Palestinian prisoner Assem Barghouthi has been made to endure harsh investigation in the Israeli Mascoubiya lock-up.
Lawyer Maamoun al-Hashim, from the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society, said Assem has been exhaustively interrogated, almost around the clock. As a result he has gone sleepless for days.
The military court at the Mascoubiya jail extended is remand for another 12 days pending further investigation. He has also been denied the right to meet with his lawyer.
The Israeli court also extended the detention of his 17-year-old brother for another five days.
Assem’s father Omar, aged 66, and his brother Assef have been held in Israeli custody from the day their brother Salah was fatally shot by the Israeli military on December 12, 2018.

The Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday transferred the Palestinian detainee Asem al-Barghouti, 33, to al-Maskoubiyya interrogation center and issued an order preventing him from meeting his lawyer.
Meanwhile, Israel's Ofer court decided to extend the detention of his father Omar al-Barghouti, 66, for 72 hours.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a press statement that Omar and three of his sons, including Asem, are currently held in Israeli jails.
According to the statement, 40 Palestinians have been arrested in Kobar village in Ramallah since the Israeli forces killed Saleh al-Barghouti on 12 December 2018.
Despite his difficult health condition, Omar al-Barghouti has been subjected to harsh, uninterrupted interrogation by the Israeli authorities since he was arrested about a month ago.

The Israeli army informed members of the al-Barghouthi family from Kobar village, northwest of central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh, on Saturday, that the family would be expelled to the Jericho district, if their son, Assem, does not turn himself in to the Israeli army.
Israel accuses Assem of carrying out an attack killing two Israeli soldiers near Ramallah on December 13, one day after his brother, Saleh, was reportedly shot and killed by Israeli soldiers north of Ramallah.
Assem has been 'wanted' by Israeli forces since then; on December 19th, Israeli forces took measurements of al-Barghouthi's home in preparation for its demolition as punishment.
Saleh's family says that Saleh was detained alive and might have died in custody.
Palestinian human rights organization Al-Haq had sent a joint urgent appeal to the United Nations (UN) Special Procedures regarding the enforced disappearance of al-Barghouthi.

Israeli forces detained at least 32 Palestinians in overnight raids carried out across the occupied West Bank, on predawn Monday.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that Israeli police forces detained at least nine Palestinians from Jerusalem in the central West Bank, mostly in the Shufat, al-Tur, and Jabal al-Mukabbir areas.
The detainees were identified as Alaa Haddad, Ashraf Eweisat, Ayman Daajneh, Marwan Najib, Subhi Najib, Muhammad Gharabli, Youssef Abu al-Hawa, Hashem Abu al-Hawa and Amin Abu al-Hawa.
Some of the detainees were later released under the condition of being held under house arrest.
Israeli forces detained 19 Palestinians from the central West Bank district of Ramallah, including 14 from Kobar village, northwest of Ramallah.

The sources added that the soldiers ransacked the house of Rimawi and clashed with local young men during their presence in the town.

The Israeli security and military authorities in the occupied West Bank accused him of participating in the drive-by shooting attack near the illegal Israeli settlement of Ofra that led to the injury of seven settlers in early December.
